出門日已遠，
不受徒旅欺。
骨肉恩豈斷，
男兒死無時。
走馬脫轡頭，
手中挑青絲。
捷下萬仞岡，
俯身試搴旗。

Away from home, farther and farther away,
No longer by comrades with ridicule treated.
Family ties of mutual love never break,
Though death may come at any time.
In exercise I take off the bridle,
And let the horse have its head.
Charging down the steep hillside,
I stoop to capture the flag on the field.
